OT - WHERE YOU FROM?

Aftr watching this site for 5 or 6 years, it is very interesting to see the wide wealth of "knowledge" eveyone has shared. Yea, we know Allen is somewhere in Nebraska, Gary is in Iowa, Old is in Missouri, ChadS is in Indiana, etc. Would it be a discussion to see where you are at? Maybe Kim and YTMag could have a pole for the most popular state - just to take the talk off of the election!

Jim - Peoria, Illinois

PS I am a antique tractor guy - not a pollster!

I spent 20 years in Idaho, but just moved back to my home state of Minnesota after living in Austin, Texas for 2 1/2 years.

Im a farmer from Northwest, Iowa. Throw a rock and you are in South Dakota. Pretty good ole state really. The great grandparents started in Missouri, where we still own the 30 acres they started with.

Nancy and I "stay" in Hutchins, TX which is 13 miles South of Dallas, TX.

Our home is the family farm in NE Texas, between Mt. Pleasant and Daingerfield.

Lenny,
Yea I've heard your name mentioned around central Illinois. Just waiting for Tavis M and the Tuscola Little guys to chime in! Maybe even Werths from Beason. Thanks for the message.

Jim

So...what ever happened to Megan Mohoney? Now that I think of it, what happened to Mahoney Chevrolet in Walkerton? Building's empty.

You left out LaGrange, Howe, Middlebury, Millersburg, Nappanee, Bristol, Elkhart, Warsaw, Shipshewana, Union, Edwardsurg, Garver Lake Tavern, Sturgis, Four Acres, New Paris, Topeka, Red Bird Tavern. You left out a whole lot of stuff. My cousin drivin the Deere through the ice at Lake of the Woods when we were kids then gettin beat nearly half to death. He should've just cried past home and went straight to the orphanage and asked for political asylum after that one.

Don't think it will happen. Being a Big Ten fan, would like to see it be PSU, but honestly, although they may go undefeated they really don't have the necessary horses. At least five better teams. My bet is on Texas or Florida. It is close choice, but I would favor Alabama over PSU. As to where one precisely lives, I believe some anonymity is desirable.

That name sure brings back some vivid memories of news photographs of an area that was devastated from a huge tornado. How far from that touchdown area are you? I recall seeing aerial photos of concrete slabs with no sign of anything else after that one passed through. Having lived in Texas most of my life I thought I had seen it all until I saw those pictures. Surviving Hurricane Dolly earlier this year was nothing compared to that. I don't even recall what year that happened now, do you remember? Were you in that area at that time?

While in Middle School right behind Mahoney"s he did some shady business dealings. Tried to hide cars at peoples houses and claim they were sold to avoid taxes. Gov"t caught on and I think that is what put him under. I named Nappanee and forgot Elkhart... the rest are close but yet far away.
