This is getting nutz ! Yesterday nice bright sunny, clear skies. This morning 8"+ snow and still coming down. Thanks again GB !! grin

We're getting boatloads of rain here in the Middle West. The Spoon River near us is over the banks already, and up to two inches more forecast for tonight...

Here in SE PA, we are enjoying the remnants of the warm spell in the 70's. Almost ready to: take off the long underwear that I put on back in October, get the "N" outta the barn and getting Stuggart Onion sets in the ground.

I guess I will leave the underwear on. Worse thing that can happen, too early. Good way to catch pneumonia and kill myself. So, socially, I probably really "stink".

Here in Ohia ( near Greenville) its been wonderfull took the 43 2-N and plowed the graden. Damn I love plowing, the old girl just growls and digs in. Having a brake pedal on each side took some getting used to. Starting all sorts of peppers, egg-plant ect indoors tday.

Darn it DUNK....

Yesterday I was work'N on some sheel metal outdoors. Looked up for some reason and I saw that Boeing 747 lett'N down into Dulles. Beautiful sight.

I am still suffering from that "disease" known only to a few of us. Aviation disease.

So, I immediately went upstairs and made sure my uniform was still safely tucked away in that "DELTA" garmet bag.

I have been banned from the local airport by a jury of a couple of local private pilots. They serve on a local committee for aviation matters. NEWBIES!

Ed, hope you are elevated enough to stay dry. As of 1PM (local) the sun is out and the snow is melting -yaay!

It was too wet to get the N outta the barn. Hand dug the onion row. Planted. Was down to my last 10 lbs from last year. Onion sandwiches, and onion plaster (cold remedy) during the Winter.

Now I must pray for SNOW for successful onion crop. The pains are now gone (Hip) from sett'N too long watching PBS.

ONION SNOW!

Dunk, 'back in the day' I had a still that a pal at UBC made for me from Chem Lab supplies (glass & SS), it would make about 1 liter at a time of some danged fine mind bender. Wish I 'still' had it now, this weather requires a stiff jolt ! (I have 1 part of the equip. left)

20 something years ago a friend of mine had a all stainless steel screw together still, I don't know who made it but I am sure it wasn't him.

The boiler was a 55 gal or so beer keg, and the rest was all homemade, out of SS.

It was awesome to see.

Some of the best shine I ever drunk came out of that still.

And I have been drinking local shine since I was 16 years old.

I would not drink it till I knew who made it though.

Nashville TN is saying 83* for tomorrow.

NW GA is only saying 78*

Then, a couple of days later we gonna get cool again, back into 50*s highs.

Folks gonna be sick.

Welp, that is life here.

Thank God it ain't freezing.
