Over Under Fluid?

What kind of fluid am I suppose to use in my 1855's Over Under?

ATF is not the correct fluid for a 3 speed. it works ok in a 2 speed , but there is a special fluid for it. i think my jug is from agco. if you need i can go to the barn and see exactly what it is.

When I bought a rebuilt 3-speed from O'Brien Co. implement,It came pre-filled with universal hydraulic fluid.Tom at the dealership says that's what should be in it.Better lubricating properties and works better under pressure.

All later Olivers came with universal (or equiv) and not ATF.White kept on with this.

When servicing our hydra-power drives,We use universal in them also.

Use AMSOIL Trans Fluid.

Use AGCO's universal hydraulic fluid in both the over/under and the hydra-power. Also, use the better filters, either 30-3475433 (long) or 30-3475425 (short). AGCO has recently reduced the price of these better filters; the price is not as out of line as it was a year ago.
