Paint booth size

Is 14" long, 10" wide and 8" tall a good size for my "paint booth" to paint Farmall H"s?

should be about right. do some temporary marks of your size around the tractor, walk around it like you are spraying, and see if you have enough clearance. when i painted my m, i had the tractor split, painted the rear half as a unit, then shot the bolster, hood, grille, gas tank, frame rails and engine separate, then assembled. touch up any oppses after.

I have a friend that bought 1 of those cheap carport, with the canvas top. Cost $99 at pepboys. Then he bought the cheap blue tarps for the sides and floor. I think he had about $175 in the whole setup, he has been painting in it for 2 years now and still works.

You might want to try this, provided the weather will let you.

Set out the biggest piece you plan on painting. Mark it off using twine and stakes. Then measure out 4 ft in all directions and stake this out. The outer twine is the size 'painting hut' you want. If portability or cost is an issue, use PVC or ABS plastic conduit as a frame and the old FEMA blue tarps as walls and roofs. Just be sure you DO NOT GLUE the PVC/ABS plastic together. By using 'stub' connectors you can use it indefinitlely like a LEGGO set. Just mark which stub takes which pole etc. Big SHARPIE marker on white PVC should work fine. Same for the tarps. Mark which one where and which side in or out.
