Paint respray

I sprayed sherwin williams oil base. Direction says 8 hours drying time for respray. Thankfully I sprayed some on scrap setting spray pattern. After 16 hours I used some rattle can paint with acetone in it to do some trim on the scrap and it wrinkled what I had sprayed 16 hours before. How long should I wait to be able to do the trim without wrinkling?

Wait at least a week. Then sand it smooth and recoat it with the same oil based paint. The enamel would have had to dry for more than a year to have withstood rattle can paint.

Use a very light dusting first coat to allow paint to
flash. Continue with light coats giving the paint 5-10
minutes between coats. Ive had paint wrinkle after a
month of drying time because of a heavy top coat.
