Parade mirror

My worker 46 2N has a decent rattle can paint job.(read 40-40) I keep it clean and parked in the shop cuz I'm really proud of it.My grand kids want me to put it in the July 4th parade so I'm building a platform with a pick up seat to go on the 3 pt to carry 3 kids. Rules say that motorized vehicles must have a rear view mirror. Anyone have any ideas on how to mount one without having to put holes in the hood or fender?? Pictures of such would be great.

Probably the easiest to mount would be a bicycle or motorcycle type mirror. One like in the link could mount just about anywhere such as replacing one of the air cleaner screws and replacing with the mirror's threaded end. Maybe one of the convex mirrors found on the front ends of some of the older school busses would also work well. Just a couple ideas.
Bike Mirror

I mounted a mirror by drilling two holes 1/4 on the bottom of the dash ,then with some 3/4 wide 18 inches long flat steel I drilled holes to match hole in dash, ran it out and up and twisted it 90 degres and mounted a small round mirror. this way when you take it off no one will see the holes . I go on tractor rides all the time works great. Greg

bike mirror, hooked onto some pipe, then clamp that pipe to a fender edge.. use some cloth or inner tube rubber between the clamps and fender to protect paint.

The high tech fix. :)
Set your laptop on the hood and run one of those remote cameras that plug into a USB port. Clamp the camera onto the fender and there ya are. Simple huh?
You could get up to 4-8 hours out of a charged laptop battery. If you got a 12 volt system, add in a power inverter and further impress your friends.
Also, add additional cameras and keep an eye on the under side of the tractor for ground clearance or watch that cotter key in your bellhousing so it don't fall out leaving you with a split tractor in the middle of the parade. Good luck. :)
