Parts for super 55

I am in the process of putting my 1955 super 55 diesel back as it should be. As many of you read on here, it has a 550 hood on it. I am trying to make sure that I consider everything that has to be changed. Besides the sheet metal, does the fuel tank and radiator have to be changed? The 550 fuel tank is in the middle of the hood and the super 55 appears to be closer to the front. Anything else anyone can think of would be much appreciated. Trying to get all my parts bought before I pull it apart. It is a running tractor.

If you keep the fuel tank a LATE Super 55 hood should work. Since it may also be wet and cold where you are, contact Mary Ann at the museum and order a 550 & a Super 55 Parts book and start comparing stuff.

Thanks. I have the electronic 550 manuals. I am going to order the hard copy super 55 manuals from the museum though. I just received the manufacture card and info on the super 55 yesterday from the museum.

That's just it J,if it's a 1955 model hood,it'll be made for the fuel cap in front. 57 and 58 were in the center like the 550 if memory serves me.

That hood Chris mentioned while being the correct type for that serial number will not fit the 550 tank. Or is that you meant. its been a long day and you got me confused. Have a Happy Easter. J.
