Perkins Head

Getting ready to put the head back on my Perkins this weekend. Everything has checked out and seems to have just blown a gasket. The question I have is whether or not to use copper spray sealer when I put everything back together. One of my friends is a certified diesel mechanic and he said, "It"ll take a ten foot pry bar to get it back apart if you use that stuff", but another friend said he has used it and thinks it works great. Both guys are very experienced.
What do you guys think about it?

If you use it, copper coat will not stick that tight, However, should be ok with out it. Either way, be sure it is clean and straight.

Hi,
Good news! As far as the head gasket is concerned, definitely not. If you have not had the head faced or at least checked then you are inviting the same problem to occur again. A light coating of oil on all threads and moving parts will be sufficient.
