1958 Massey Ferguson 35 with 4 cyl diesel engine & Horndraulic loader.
The bale grab made by Perry. The stack of 7 bales is grabbed by a small double acting hydraulic ram on the rear of the grab frame which squeezes the 2 side rails and grips the stack. The stack of bales will be lifted onto a trailer where a man will stack them.
The cable on the right side of the bale grab runs to the rear of the tractor loader frame to keep the grab parralel to the ground whilst its lifted up.
This style of outfit was typical of the late 1950's & early 1960's period over here.

Those bales are pretty far in front of the tractor. Must be a chore to steer. The back tires look overly small as well. Is there a reason for them being smaller? Dave

Those are 10x28 well worn rear tyres, so overall diameter is smaller than 11.25x28. The rear weight block is 2/3rds 45 gallon oil drum filled with cement - its heavy! There are only 7 small hay bales in each stack, so not too much weight on frontend to make steering very hard work.
