pins bushings

mf40-me

New User
Hello, two questions. I am replacing the forward pivot pin and bushings for in my mf40 ind. Just curious if you are just supposed to line up the hole in the bushing with the grease fitting connection, or is there supposed to be another fitting between the greasefitting and the bushing?

Also does anyone have a parts list, or could tell me where i could obtain one to get the original sizes for the pins and bushings in my loader. If is a model mf 200, mounted on my mf40. She is super loose. Thanks in advance

I think the grease would get in better if the holes are lined up. An MF40 should have either an MF32 loader or a 4 bar bucket linkage MF34 loader. Are you talking about the weld on bushings? The pins may be really loose because there were originally hardened replacable bushings inside the the weld on bushings on the loader boom and bucket. Someone just kept using the loader after the replacable internal bushings wore out. I don't know but would guess the size at at least 1 inch and up to about 1 1/4 inch for pin size. Someone who has one should be able to tell you or measure the pins on the lifting pivot of the loader boom. They are usually the same size. A bigger size won't hurt anything. Hope this helps. Dave

Thank you for your response. My tractor is a bit of a misfit. It has what looks exactly like a 4 bar linkage mf32 loader, however the plate on the side says mf200. The mf40 was supposed to only come in the instant reverse, and shuttle shift, well, mine is a straight 6/2 manual tranny. Who knew? Big Dean says that they were ordered special with that tranny sometimes. I guess it is pretty rugged, but i cannot imagine why someone wouldn't want the manual shuttle. I know that i do. I suppose i will start looking for a parts tractor with that tranny and swap them someday

Are you positive it's an MF40? The 200 loader was used on earlier machines. Maybe someone put an older loader on it? Could your tractor be a 2200, 202 or other earlier model. It seems odd it would have a different loader as well as a different transmission. I have a picture of a 2200 with a 4 bar loader but it doesn't show the model number of the loader. The 2200 is a hard nose and looks similar to an MF40. The 302 and 304 tractors used the 300 loader but were a size bigger. Dave
