Pioneer coupler tool

My hands are too weak to connect Pioneer couplers. Is there such a tool available to pull back the sleeve?

Don't know about a tool, but you can buy female couplings that will release when the sleeve is either pushed or pulled.

A lot easier to hook up.

I think this is one on Amazon...have no idea if it's any good.

I have one on my desk now we are using for a shop project. safeway #s45-3, 3000 psi max, 4bh.
that is the numbers on the side of the female coupling, I plan to put a set on my skidsteer to replace what case has on there.

They work good but you need to buy a special holder for them. I have them on one of my tractors.

You could make something, either out of metal or wood.

Would help if we knew if the coupler was on Air or Hydraulic.

Air system
Push-Button Tru-Flate type coupler work great. Press the button once it releases the pressure between the tool and connector, press it again and it detaches from the tool.

Have not saw a set of pliers for connecting/disconnecting hydraulic couplers. But have use this tool a few times in tight places.
Don't see why a decent metal worker could not fabercate a set of jaws and weld them to a pair of channel locks.

Are you sure the system is depressurized? I have had some problems then but I have figured out how to get around it. Once on my wood splitter d to loosen a line.

I've used them on loose hoses.

A lot easier pulling the sleeve in the direction of the male coupler than trying to hold the sleeve back while connecting.

Buy the push pull female couplers. You wont regret it
