piston rings

i was going to put new rings in my 730 diesel.i measured the holes and they measured 6.172 side to side and 6.175 up and down .It has .045 oversized pistons .i dont have a book to tell the bore specs ,so do you all know if im good to go.thanks

What else are you doing to the engine? I'm thinking mine needs the same thing. Let us know if it stops the blow by. I was thinking of putting rings in mine.

Bore 6.125 +.045 = 6.170

its a barely-diesel 16.0 to 1 engine. if the thing starts good cold & dont slobber n smoke it aint got excessive blowby n dont need an overhaul.
