Play in 995/6 left front wheel

My 995 seems to have some play in the left front wheel between the stub hub and the extension. I can take the tire and turn it about 1 1/2 inches by hand which means about 3/8 to a half inch in the picture by the stops. When I do this the steering arm doesn't move at all. The right side has no play. Is this a concern or not? I couldn't find anything in the maintenance manual about play.

I looked up the steering arm and it shows 1 for 52-to-72-inch track and 1 for 56 to 80 inch track. The part #'s are k913924 for the shorter track and k926883 for the longer track. I guess I just need to know where to measure.

Splines on the kingpin are likely just as bad as the arm. take off the bolt and washer on top and you should be able to see what is going on and take measurements of which part is worn.

Welding the splines solid is one option.

Took off the nut and looked like the arm was the culprit. Ordered a new one and it is tight.
