Please help me identify my international dozer.

This is the only photo I have found online that looks like my dozer. Instead of steering levers, there are three pedals in the floor and one lever coming up between the operator"s knees. The battery is located behind a hinged door on the left side near the back left corner (as sitting in the dozer.)
Mine does not have the cab, but there are mounting holes for one like shown. Note the curved side panels. And notice the single lift cylinder for the blade. If you know what this is, please let me know as I need to order manuals and get mine put back together. It is a D239 engine. Thanks so much for looking. Bob

I don't know what model that is; I just want to comment that I drove a dozer at a proving ground once that had foot pedal steering. I didn't know what to do with my hands; just crossed my arms and considered the whole thing boring!

Foot pedal steering free's your hands for the transmission and hydraulic controls. More used on crawler loaders but is common on smaller dozers.

You are a genius !! Looked up google image and there one was !! I knew you were right when I saw the hood !! Here is the photo I found... even has the vertical sight glass on right side near the rear. THANK YOU SO MUCH !!

Pedal steering? Do the pedals do all the steering, or do you have to pull a clutch lever and push the brake pedal to steer it?
Deere has run pedal steering for years and years. The 750 my grandpa had in the early 80s may have even had it.
New Hyundai's run it too. If you want lever steer they clamp a rod to the side of the stem of the pedal, and being flimsy they give you NO feedback on when you hit the clutch and the brake with the pedal. Not that they do with your foot on the pedal anyhow. Dad had an H7 with a couple hundred hours a few years ago, took it back mid-summer. It was down for something every other week, and the 10,000 hour TD8G never let him down that summer. Still hasn't let him down.

Been arond Ih for years. Hers is my thinking, somthing that was not produced or marked in the us. Appears to be something like a late thd 9 frame but powred by the td 7 & 8 d 239 engine. A true td9 had the 6 cyl d282 engine. Also the square sheet metal rear hydraulic tank is somewhat close to the 165 ih loader that was produced overseas. I sure would be intrested in what you come up with Some one mentioned td 8 B my best thinking is in the us we started with the td 8 C progresed to d & G but never saw a td 8 B so that in fact may be what you have.

I sold IH industrial equipment for several years in the 60's and 70's and never saw one like it. I would think it is a foreign model that someone brought to the USA as a IH "grey model".
