Please help me

Hello friends I need help and anything would be much appreciated..What 4cyl. engines will fit a vac-14..All the guys at our little county fair laugh when my little vac (124ci)motor runs out of power in the 3800 class..ANY thing adapter plate or not and where would I find a motor around Ohio..These guys in Ohio seam to hate case tractors..Specially my 1030 in the 12000 pound class..Thanks guys..

I think the 300-600 motors will bolt in (maybe the 430-630's too???) I think the combine motor cousin to these is a bit longer block.

Looking to make a "sleeper" tractor???

Thank you for the reply..I restored a vac-14 and put the over bore kit in it and it runs good, but we all tug pull (old style drag type pull)and everyone gets a good laugh when the odd color tractors of the bunch (case) power out....... (most are cockshutt and fergusons and olivers)
But I have found another vac with a narrow front that is beyond restore and I would like to pull it instead of my restored one..To much money in the good one and don't need to tear it up..I would like to break up the little clucking hen house they got going on when they see me coming in the pulling arena...Thanks fella

The internals out of a 148 cubic inch Case engine can go inside the VAC block. This way they won't know that it's not stock.

Thanks for the info and I will look into it..If you don't mind the bother what horse power is the 148ci
and what all had that motor or where could I find the parts..Is this the cam/crank/rods and sleeves and pistons that your talking about..

The 148 crank out of the very early 148's can be put in the VAC block but there are mods that need to be done to the crank, block ,and transmission shaft as the crank is longer than the VAC, No first hand experience on that but there are those on this site who have done it , hopefully they will pop in with the straight scoop. mEl

33 PTO HP and 29 drawbar HP. Yes, you need the crankshaft, rods, pistons, etc. Your best bet is probably to find an old 148 engine. You can buy the parts new, but It would probably be too expensive. If you do a search on this forum you can probably find more information. This topic comes up quite often.
