I took some pictures of my plow and I am going to try to post them. The pictures will help more than me trying to explain it to you. This is in regards to the previous message I posted about not knowing the name of the plow part that is broken. Thanks Tim

You've got more "hole" there than plow! You need it all; shin, share and moldboard!

Larry's right, you're about out of parts. Depending on how badly your shin is worn, you may need a frog as well.

Are you sure it is worn? It almost looks like the plow was modified on purpose. Are both bottoms like that? I've seen new moldboards being sold cut down like that. They call them mini-moldboards. Not sure what the benefits are, maybe the previous owner tried to make his own. Looks like the frog (the frame that all the parts bolt to) is either worn or cut away.

Hey Tim: I just bought a set of points/shares and shins for our 2 bottom Deerborne plow. I got them at a local ford new holland dealer and all together including bolts and nuts it ran about $85. The moldboards on our plow were showing a bit of wear and I priced them at the dealer for $88 each. I decided to wait another year or two before replacing them. Anyway that dealer had all parts in stock, just walked in and bought them. You should be able to locate your parts easy as well. It took about an hour to take the old ones off and put on the new ones. One tip, we took the old parts with us to the dealer, just to make sure we got the right replacements.

it's beyond repair start looking for a parts plow or another one in better shape that moldboard is scrap .

the mini moldboards are easier to pull, take less hp, they leave a lot more trash on the surface as opposed to a regular moldboard.

Both molds look the same. It sounds like I better be looking for a good used plow. I'll try to post a picture of the other side. Thanks for the info. Tim

The mini moldboard has the side removed - not half the share or lower part of the moldboard .
