Plugged the chopper, made a quick video....

I had some old bales to chop onto the compost pile & guess one of the last ones was a bit too wet. Plugged it tight at the cone, where it tapers down to the spout. In the time it took me to shut things down & go get a long screwdriver, the hay in the pipe got too hot to handle. Wow, that was quick!! Took a bit to unplug, but was all worth it for the learning experience.

Initially, I was recording the tractor & not the chopping operation. This angle was taken with the camera & my dumbphone is off to the side taking video of the front of the tractor. The 560 sprung a leak somewhere on the radiator, the day before this & refused to leak again after filling the radiator again. So, I put it on the chopper to work the snot out of it in the heat. Aaaaaand..... nothing. No leak! I really hate when that happens! The closest I got to locating the origin of the leak, the first time, was either at the inlet neck or the hose to it. It was all perfectly dry when I got done chopping. Just don't get it.

If anyone is wondering, yes I'm still working on a bale feeder with a safety bar. Need to source another FB88 blower for the throw-out bar & associated parts, feeder apron & the trough for it. I figured out how to mount it & can power it with a roller chain off the lower feeder apron shaft. That's used to power the hay pickup head & should work good for what I need.

I found that by the time you heard the sound it was already to late just was how bad you wanted to work unplugging by the amount you kept putting in. Our Green chopper I could by opening the door to the fan I could reach both ways and unplug it fairly easy unless somebody had kept going some. Then it would be tight in there. I don't recall plugging the other choppers though.
