position control lever largest disc

Problem: When I move the position control lever slightly forward and hold it, the disc raised to the proper position up and down. When the lever was released, it did not operate at all. Is there an adjustment that need to be made?
Question: What is the largest disc that can be pulled behine a 8N? What is recommended?

dont know much about pos.cont.,butIhave a 6 footer on my 1941 9n with no trouble so remembering the 8n has alittle more hp who knows---LHA

Are you refering to the little lever under the seat on the right side as the "position control lever"???????????
That is the mode lever that changes the lift operation from draft to position mode. Up is position mode and down is draft mode.

You most likely need to adjust the lift linkage internally and possible replace the cam follwer pin that wears in the linkage.
