Possibly Need Replacement Combine

Hey, was wondering if anyone knows of a good used older combine. Ours (715, see prev. post) needs a new engine, and wanted to price what some other ones could run. Doesn"t need to be quite that big, as we only run 80 acres split into three crops (corn, soybeans, and wheat). Looking to spend not much more than $5K with both heads. Any takers?
Thanks,
Michael

I wish I could find an F3 with heads for less than $10,000!!! Back east they still bring that much and a little more if they are nice. I just saw a very nice F2 Golden Harvest sell with heads for $9000 this spring . . . . Gleaner G diesel junker with heads brought $1500 at another sale . . . for scrap??? the buyer said. I didn't know that was that much in a G, even at $200 a ton prepared. Anyway, to get back on track, in the Midwest, you might even be able to find a decent older Axial-Flow in your price range . . .

Local guy has a Deere 4400 for sale here in N. Alabama with 4-row narrow corn head and a 13ft. platform I think. If you're interested I could get you his number. He farms about what you do with it.

Mike, where are you located? If it's anywhere around mid Michigan I might be interested in one of your Gleaner K cornheads. Thanks.
