A sale coming up the end of March has a one row potato digger. It has one wide shovel followed by a grate that is agitated up and down with a star wheel to shake out the potatos, It is hanging on a big post as a ornament. No name visable. What would be the value?

Jan. auction one sold for $250.00 all rusted and not working seem to be a bit much for a lawn decoration.
I'd like a working one to dig tater in the fall but they are hard to find in my area.

If its PTO driven they tend to bring pretty good money but all depends on the condition and if someone else is interested. I"ve seen PTO driven ones for for $200 - $500. I have a ground driven one I got for $80 but its not in the best of conditon. Ground driven ones have a tendency to plug and slide the wheels if you have to dig very deep, even with my 300 pounds sitting on it. Regardless of condition you"ll probably have to compete with someone that wants it for scrap.

Here is an OK Champion digger.Don't know the model #. We still use it.
