Power Steering Fluid

I've got a early-mid 60's MF-35 with power steering. The owners manual says to use Type A transmission fluid. I'm aware of Dextron and Type F fluid, but never heard of Type A, What can I use?
 
The dealerships all got a service bulletin from MF back in the late 1970s telling us to use the same oil that the MF100 and MF200 series tractor used in the transmission it is Permatran 3. It said the seal that MF used was not compatible with Dextron oil.
