Power steering pump output

I am having no luck from the dealer getting the pressure and volume specs for the power steering pump on my 2006 Toyota Corolla. I"m hoping to use it to run the hoist on my small dump trailer. Does anybody have this information or know how I can find it? The other option is to try go do it, but that involves plumbing in a bigger reservoir and probably making a hose, both of which are wasted if it isn"t adequate. This is tractor related only in that it is hard to use the Case SC over long distances so it can run the hoist.

Never used a Toyota pump, but I have used American made power steering pumps for tractor or pickup hydraulic systems.
they put out about 3-5 gal per minute in stock form and with the dump valve removed will pump 10 at higher rpm. They only make around 1000 psi, so factor that into your plans.

It should be more than up to the job for a "small" dump trailer, as I have used them on 300 bushel grain trailers where they supply plenty of lift and are not overly slow(volume).

Check out the Mother Earth news website, they have
plans for operating a dump box with the PS pump
on a Chevy pickup. It works, I made one. Your ps
pump might be smaller/ slower, but it might work for
a small trailer.

Had a neighbor back home in Kansas who made a big bale fork on the back of his F-150 and powered it off the power steering pump. Heard it took the bale right up. Of course being a tad bit redneck he had to open the truck engine hood every time he wanted to use it. And the F-150 was too light to haul big bales but only minor problems for a redneck farmer.

My grandparents were from Fredonia, North Dakota. Concerning the F150, mine has a hoist which uses the power steering pump, and the trailer in question was used behind that pickup a lot in the past. The Ford pump of that vintage (1988) is about 1500 PSI, 1.5 GPM. I can run mine from in the cab.
