power steering

1650 cockshutt weak power steering. Rebuily powersteering box and replaced the hydramotor still has poor steering.... diassembled the proportioning valve.... it all looks ok gonna check pressures next...

any ideas?

I would have done the pressure check first. Next what front end is on the tractor?

um which front end.... 2 wheels same width apart as rear and axle is even with the spindles (not row crop)

my bad its a 1600 not a 1650

Do check the pressure. Also send me a serial number. There were changes made in the pressures on the 1600 models.

1400 psi when turning left (makes a clacking sound and is slightly stiff)

under 1100 psi (800-1000) when turning right and wheel is very stiff
