powerful trucks

what do you guys think is the most powerful truck out there I personally like the ford with the 6.4 liter but I have always been a ford fan what do you guys think

There was nothing like the Ford 7.3 stroker. Too bad they got rid of them for the 6.0's and the new twin turbo 6.4's. A turbo ON a turbo is one stupid arse idea.

I'm VERY fond of the 5.9L knockers in the 99-02 Ram 2500's and 3500's.

I like all my trucks with a 5 or 6 speed manual. Automatic is for wussies.

In the half tons the award goes to the Toyota Tundra with the 5.7L 381hp engine. 3/4 and ton, I like the 6.6L Chevy Duramax, they are much simpler under the hood than that awful mess under the hood of a Ford 6.4L.

those toyotas are as ugly as (bleep). and the new chevy styling makes me want to puke. It looks like the hood and grille got fat and huge or something.

Make it bigger has been the latest trend and it applies to most everything. I like the Toyota over the chevy for looks. I haven't really cared for the last 2 generations of Chevys, ever since they went with the oriental headlights.

Best out there is a Ford. Nothing like a 7.3 to bad that they don't make them anymore. I got two, one is a 1996 and other is a 1997. The farm truck is the 1996 f350 granny first gear nothing stops them from pulling anything. No rice burner truck could do that.

One of my wife's brothers once owned an '89 Ford crew cab dually with a 7.3 in it. He kind of passed it around to anyone in the family who needed to use it. My trailer weighs 2,000 pounds empty, and you could go from driving the empty pickup, to pulling the empty trailer, to pulling the trailer with a 5,000 load and not notice any change in performance.

I also once owned a GMC crew cab dually with a warmed up 454 gas burner that was almost legendary for playing SST with a trailer--if you could afford to put gas in it. I once averaged 71 mph hauling a half ton pickup on a trailer home from Sioux Falls, SD. And that included backing off to 55 mph through Sioux City, Omaha, and Lincoln, NE, plus a potty stop at a rest area on the Interstate.

I just bought a 03 duramax 6 speed manual it is nice, i had a 01 dodge diesel i had it for a month and sold it i hated that truck.

We have a new Chevy 3500 dually/crew cab with the Duramax/Allison combo at work for hauling big trailers. It is the most powerful truck we have ever hauled with hands down.

Would imagine that by now you are fairly accustomed to the view from this angle? :>)
