Just changed hyd. oil in my early 3020 PS used JD Hy Gaurd oil, changed both filters cleaned the screen, replaced all seals, washers etc. When I started it up everything was fine took it down the lane got back to the shop and now when I put shifter in the park position tractor creeps forward, what could I have possibly done to have caused this?Have'nt got a tech service book thought maybe someone can chime in on this problem and help get this resolved not a very safe sitution.TIA Mark

"PARK" is a mechanical latch, operated by a cable from the shift quadrant down to a lever under the operator's platform. LOTS of stuff to go wrong there.

To start with, lube up the shift mechanism and check the "park" cable".

If the "creep" is so bad that the engine is loaded once you get "park" to latch, or hold it with the brakes, you have shift linkage or valve problems or internal clutch pack problems in addition to your "park" mechanism problem.

I have to get off the 'puter NOW, as I have customers waiting, but an archive search here will probably give you more information.

If you're going to teat into it a factory service manual will be REALLY helpful!

Bob is correct. The park cable can get dirty and not pull park pawl into place. IIRC when the shift handle is exactly in the middle of the shift quadrant the trans is in neutral. But on either side at bottom of quadrant tractor will creep forward or reverse depending on which side shifter is located.
