Prayers needed for good friend

As soon as the wheat is drilled, a very good friend of mine, whom some of you know, will be having a major surgery this fall. He will be weeks recovering/rehabilitating. He"s going to Mayo Clinic, home of the world"s finest physicians. It will be for four points of bone/joint replacement. In short, like so many of our beloved combines, he will be undergoing a bodily rebuild.

Jim Esbenshade is above all, a man of God and has asked me personally to lift him up in prayer and call out to others who also know the Lord, to do likewise. He has done so much for the antique collecting and living history community. My family and I will make the trip all the way to Rochester, Minn to visit him in recovery.

Thank you, for all who also pray for Jim.

Prayers given from here. Am I remembering correctly that Jim is from extreme southern OK and features some kind of show each year which has been discussed on this forum? I live 55 miles from Mayo Clinic. The surgeries are actually done at two associated hospitals, St. Marys and Methodist. I"ve been there many times for and with family members. It is truly an amazing medical facility started by two brothers, first in Le Sueur, MN then later moving it to Rochester. I think they also have outlets in Arizona and Florida. Am I remembering this correctly?

My prayers will be with him and if he's having a hip joint replacement he should do fine in fact he will be like a new man. My wife is a PTA and she works with hip joint replacements all the time physical therapy is the key and they will probably have him up and around quickly. Wow! The Mayo that's top shelf! Of course all sugeries are scary and there's nothing any of us can say or do to ease that feeling I'm sure there is a place in heaven for friends like you.CT
