I've run several Bibeau bodies, that were the heated type. Now I suppose that they were ok or satisfactory for some purposes, but when hauling asphalt, I recall that material sticking near where the exhaust comes in, was the warmest area.

I've heard mention of rust problems about these, and I think the concern was moisture in there, I had always wondered if the sulfur in the fuel, made things corrosive in there, as exhaust residue, soot, containing same would mix with moisture. Now with low sulfur fuel, that may not be an issue. It's been a long time, but some good questions about them, I wonder how things have changed or improved.

i haul a lot of free stall sand in winter and have a liner in a 18 ft. box and get very little freezing. the heated box is just to heavy and they do like to rust from the inside out
