Propane conversion kits for trucks

I have a conversion kit out of a '68 f-250 and I'm trying to figure out what its worth. I never used it as I redid some wiring when I got the truck and unhooked it but the PO said it was used when last park 3-5 years ago. I have the tank which took up the front half of a shortbox,all the lines that need replaced just cause I think it would be better to have new lines, the vaporizer, the regulator which is a century, the carb which is a motorcraft modified to burn propane has been rebuilt other than it needs a power valve, the deal that acts as an air cleaner, and the switches. This kit does let you run on gas or propane. My question is what is this set-up worth as a new one runs around 2500 dollars.

It is worth whatever you can get someone to give you for it, which probably won`t be much. You`re going to have to find someone running a vehicle with a carb and a similar sized engine who both thinks the idea to convert the old beast to run on propane is a good idea, and who actually has some money to buy that thing from you.

Check Ebay, kits are selling on there, so you can get an idea of the price. If you go the ebay route, it will sell better without the tank unless somebody local is buying it. Tanks around here run about $1 per gallon of capacity.

Century, especially the air valve type mixer is obsolete, not very user friendly and hard to keep adjusted. The conversion company I worked with had piles of troublsome century dual fuel kits stacked up in a corner of the shed after they replaced them with the much more reliable IMPCO units.
Another problem is that century no longer produces the things and parts are expensive and hard to get. I would take any offer above scrap price.
