pto on 5000

I ve checked the oil and the tractor has been run for box blading but have not used the pto for 2 years or longer . I was wondering if there s a check valve that is stuck or maybe the clutches are stuck . just hoping would nt have to pull it into.

A hydraulic valve operates the pto clutch.... it -could- be that a little trash or varnish is keeping the valve from moving after sitting that long... but I don't know enough about it to offer any good advice. I doubt it's the clutch disks, since the pto tends to allways run if they are warped/stuck.

I found the problem . I backed off the brake and it started working fine I guess it was stuck. thanks for all the replies just found this sight and it has alot of people willing to help thanks again.
