I mowed a little with my 2510
yesterday, first time since
replacing the rear engine seal,
transmission clutch disc and
clutch springs. When I went into
thick brush, the pto slowed way
down while engine rpm was staying
around 2100. Evidently the pto
clutch disc was slipping.
Today, with tractor turned off,
looking up into the clutch from
below, having a helper engage and
disengage the pto clutch, I see
that only two of the three pto
latches (R38154) are reliably
closing. The third seems to be
rocking back too far when
disengaged, and so the pto thrust
bearing misses it the next time it
is pushed forward.
Can this rocking be adjusted?
Also, they don't always rock
easily or smoothly. Thanks.
