Might be a dumb question but how do you guys do it without breaking stuff? It seems like everything would hook up extremely well and somethings got to give.
Enlighten me please.

Many years ago we used to have a pull in a small town on blacktop. I always thought it worked pretty well, but you could pull a gear higher than on our local dirt tracks. You just could not get as good of traction as you get on dirt. I was pulling a stock 180 MF at 7000 pounds and spun out at about 3.5mph. On a dirt track that same gear would kill it at that speed. About a 63hp tractor.

Blacktop, takes less power, more of a drivers game. Trucks break more, if you cannot over come the bounce. Heavy classes may end up with a longer chain and or having the chain raised on the sled. Most of the tractor classes have a speed limit. Not all streets are the same, you need to read the crown/slope. Man hole covers and bridges, along with time of day all come into play. Good news it takes a lot of rain to shut down the show.
