pump for ford 730 loader on Ford 2000

My brother picked up a Ford 2000 with a 730 loader on it. The loader has always seemed jerky at slow uses and really fast. The pump started leaking so he took it off and the shaft seal.was pushing out causing the leak. The pump is a cross pump. He called the company and they told him the pump was too big and that it was pumping more fluid at 2000 Rpm then the tank holds. I think 26gpm. And suggested a smaller pump.

What did this loader come with for a pump?

I'm sure there is a range that would work but this is from New Holland site -

Bunky, My service manual shows that you could get as low as a 9gpm pump. If you are going to go with a smaller pump I would be interested in buying the one you have.
