Can someone tell me what the bushing for the steering shaft is made of? 70222447 Bushing, Steering Shaft
Can they be had from McMaster-Carr? I am going to have to cut the steering wheel off of my WD-45 and I figure I might as well change it then.
Thanks in Advance,
Ted

Don"t know why you need to cut the steering wheel off, but you can remove the pin in the upper end of the steering knuckle and pull the whole wheel/shaft assembly out.

If your wheel is bad heat it up and put puller on it, as far as the busching several aftermarket supliers have them now.

I'll take a look to see if I can get the pin out of the knuckle, I can't get the pin out of the steering wheel, which is shot. The plastic is mostly all gone and I have to put a new one on. I have tried just about everything to get the pin out of the steering wheel with no success. That is why I am thinking of cutting it off.

file ends of taper pin flush with the hub, find small end , drill a hoile 1/2 to 2/3 way thru pin, put punch into hole and the pin will come right out.
