raccoons?

There has been something eating on my corn. It rolls it over and eats it. I am not sure if this would be a deer or a raccoon. I killed a groundhog not long ago, but it is still happening so it must not have been that. Any advice on what it may be and how to get rid of the problem? Any advice would be great! Thanks Tim

I would bet it is raccoons, they tear the corn down to eat on it. The deer (at least in my neighborhood) eat it standing on the stalk.

I have heard of folks putting a radio out in the cornpatch to keep the critters away, and some folks put up electric fence.

I always just plant some extra so they get some and I do to!

Better get on it really quick, they can desroy a lot of corn in one night. Happened to me. Get a live trap out there with PB&J in it, they love it. Catch coon after coon with peanut butter. Then pop them in the head with a .22. Problem solved. They"re not worth messing with relocating due to rabies and overpopulation, etc.

I always just put up a sign no raccoons allowed,this is as good as any other remedy you'll find on here.

live trap and marshmallows... followed up with 22... Raccoons have a real sweet tooth...

if that doesn't work... do a search for Golden Marlin flybait on the net...

amen to that! i've tried them all. finally i decided for all i went through, i could buy enough corn to get along.

Skunks destroy a lot of corn.They will climb the stalks until they break.They start at dusk,coons work the nite shift.
