Radiator leak

We have a TO35 Ferguson, the radiator seems to be leaking at what I would call the freeze out plug. Could I drain the radiator, clean it good and use JB Weld to seal the leak? Any advise is welcomed.

I had several small leaks in the tubes in my TO-20 radiator and one big one at the inlet at the bottom. The regular JB Weld worked perfectly. Just be sure to allow it to set up as directed before subjecting it to heat and pressure.

JB weld or any other 2 part epoxy will do the job. Make sure the area is super clean. Buff with steel wool and clean with solvent, then blow dry. Overbuild the epoxy thicker then the surrounding metal and spread out out on each side of the affected area a good inch or so to insure a good bond to the metal. If the epoxy is runny, and hard to get a thick build, use multiple coats to build it up. The slow curing type will provide a stronger bond than the 5-minute cure type. The #1 cause for poor epoxy performance is not cleaning & prep'ing the surface first and not using enough epoxy.

Yeah, I work at a glue factory.

Thanks so much, in the process of making sure the area is very dry..Will clean good and ruff up some and will be applying as stated..thanks so much for your time and help.

I don't know JB Weld but I'm yet to find and quick fix lasts for very long.

Why not get the radiator checked, cleaned and repaired by a competent radiator repair shop? It may be your cheapest long term option?
