Have radiator for 801 that had mouse nest in it. Have flushed it out but, transfer of water thur tubes seems to be restricted. Do not have radiator repair shop with-in 30/40 miles. Am think about using a drain cleaner that has sulfuric acid in it. Will the acid eat the nest material? (grass) Will the acid damage the radiator? Options please......thanks

I prefer the cleaners that are caustic ( alkali ).. like draino.. liquid plummer.. etc. They always mention saf for metal and plastic pipes..

I don't know what sulfuric acid would do to your rad.. but I have seen muratic acid eat aluminum etc..

They claim to disolve stuff like hair and whatnot.. stuff you might see in a kitchen or bathroom sink.. etc. Nest material just sounds like plant material to me.. I suspect palnt material makes it down kitchen sinks.. so ???

At least you know it won't hurt the metal.. etc.. and is reasonably cheap..

Air conditioner coil cleaner. The type used to clean condensor units outside have an acid base to them and will clean about anything but does not harm the metal.

I have used it to flush my old international scout truck radiator n engine before with excellent results.
