Rate 12-volt kit from this site?

Hello - I have a 49 8N front mount. I want to buy the 12volt conversion kit from this site and throw it right in and don"t want any surprises such as missing documentation or having to find a part, etc. Any feedback on this kit or do you recommend another complete kit? I just want the best easiest installation possible because I don"t want my tractor down for over a day.
Thanks for any feedback you can provide.

I purchased the 12 volt one wire alternator conversion kit from this site and installed it without difficulty on my 1949 8N. I did need to take the pulley off the alternator and install the correct pulley for an N tractor but it was in the box. The wiring instructions were difficult to read but correct once you figure it out. Likewise the wiring harness did not appear correct at first but was correct once I figured out the wiring diagram. Part of my problem was not paying enough attention. Set and look at it for a while with the wiring diagram and parts in front of you. Mine has been running three years now with no problems.

when ya get it.. look it over before taking the tractor apart. anything bothers ya.. email here about it. many of us here can hand-hold you thru a 12v conversion.

The alt bracket I received in my kit(2 weeks ago) had the holes drilled in the wrong place. Other than that it's a good kit.

The only problem I had was the alt mount arm. It was intended to bolt to a head-bolt, but was too thick to allow the bolt sufficient "purchase"...ie... the bolt no longer engaged sufficient number of threads to prevent stripping the threads.
When I overcame that issue, the arm did not have sufficient mounting security...it slipped and allowed the alt to shift.
I had to weld a short angle onto it to prevent it shifting on the head.
Having accomplished that.... it's been working perfectly now for almost 10 years. (Single-wire, Delco 60 A alternator.)
You will also want to install a diode to prevent it back-draining the battery when the ignition is off.
