I have done the Kerosene flush to help clean out the crud. Poured a few gallons in, drove down the driveway, then drained it and refilled with 80W-90 gear oil. 15 yrs with no problems using that in cold
northern MN climate. There are (3) drain plugs underneath with the 1/2" recessed drive. Fluid level plug is on the rear of the tractor northeast corner of the PTO.
For the Hydraulics you have to pump the fluid out. I use the aux. hyd ports on the back of mine, hook up a pioneer fitting with a pipe nipple and actuate the handle the pump out the hyd oil. I've been
using universal trans/hyd on that. Oh, and make sure your 2 breathers are not plugged up. Hyd is right under the seat, trans is above the right axle housing.
Good luck, pics from Oliver 550 manual attached....get an owners manual and a service manual. SW3
