Re: Speedy air compressor

I have never found an oil plug of any sort on the one I have. I think it might be an oil-less type of compressor. I know if I can even find a motor big enough to run it that it will work well and pumps up to 40 PSI fast. The one I have is a belt drive set up so could be a lot different then what you have

nope mine is belt driven. im pretty sure its the exact same one.

it wont let me upload the pic of it because it says i am to new...

i didn't realize a piston style compressor even could be oil less... doesn't it need oil for the crank and rod bearings?

I do not know for sure on the oil-less part of it. The one I have is a 2 cylinder sort of like the HD motor cycle has its cylinders. If I remember I'll try to get a picture or 2 of it tomorrow but right now it is to dark and cold to walk out to the shop to look at it

I've never seen a belt drive oil-less compressor, but I'm betting that pump is oil-less. It probably uses sealed ball bearings on the crank and rods, and Teflon coated pistons.

Usually oil-less units are direct drive to turn them faster.

It is probably like a CH oiless compressor, mine was/is beltdriven 5HP and it has reed valves. The other one uses the same setup and has a piston with a built in type of seal on the piston to build air. I just now replaced that piston (comes withe a new cylinder) for 33.00 from C/H. Maybe this will help.
