rear wheel track

for tractor pulling i always keep the tires as close to the tractor as possible. that is what has worked best for me. Im sure that there will be a half dozen replys aggreeing and disaggreeing with me. try different things. What works for you may not work for the next guy.

I like em narrow. My theory is the narrower they are in the less likely you will pull to one or the other side of the track, seems easier to keep it pulling straighter and where you want it. A good theory on getting them out wide though is if you can get them wider than the sled dirt spun up from the tires wont accumulate in front of the sled causing more drag. im sure you will here a lot more opinions on this though.

Thanks for your input I knew this could be a can of worms as to everybody's opinion I thought the closer the better but I wanted other opinions
I can mount my wheels either way and the better looking side of the wheel would be wide track but I would have issues getting on the trailer too I don't think I would be wide enough to make a real difference on the sled either
anyway thanks for your comments

IF YOURE WORRIED ABOUT LOOKS BETTER BUILD A SHOW TRACTOR. FOR LOOKS DONT HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH HOW THEY PULL. time you make weight changes pull a motor or rearend a time or two the paint jobs not so hot anymore.

You're right about the looks I had a show tractor not much fun sitting around watching sticky fingered kids smear up your brand new expensive paint job I imagine I may be pulling this week with weld burns and spots but I think I will mount em narrow
