Rebuilt Carb Floods Model D

Just got back my rebuilt DLTX 6 Carb. It floods the tractor. I mean to the point where it blows gas out the petcoks and out the exhast. I mean alot also. Is there something I need to check or what?

I'd be talking to the guy that just rebuilt it. Sounds like it has float issues.
 

We are going to do that but he will not be back until Wed. Jus thought it might be something small that could be checked or fixed in a few min.
 
It's obvious your float is not closing..I suppose you could work on it...you can take off and generaly turn upside down, blow in incoming line and see if needle valve is closing. Probably a bad float, filled with gas, not set properly or other reasons.
 
Besides checking the float. Check that the bowl vent isn't plugged up. A lot of times that gets overlooked in a rebuild. Fuel comes into the bowl and the air has to go out, if the vent is plugged it will air lock and the float won’t close and fuel will run out everywhere.
 
Our 1930 D had the same problem. Finally sent it away to Burrey Carb Repair. They found a plugged bowl vent. Simple fix to a headache that went on for a long time.
