Rectangular Gauges

My nephew is restoring an older Case tractor that had a gauge cluster of square and rectangular gauges on the dash. He is saying that they can't be replaced or rebuilt and I suspect someone out there knows where, who, or how this can be done. Can anyone give me some direction so I can pass it on? Thanks!

Places that work on auto guages can restore the cluster, but it is not cheap. Had one done for a 930 last year. Check in Hemmings Motor News for places that work on guages and contact one of them.

You should contact Roger Hornbaker. He rebuilt my gauge cluster for a reasonable rate, and did an excellant job. He is also an honest and freindly person to deal with. His email is [email protected] and his phone # is 301-223-9005.

I also had the "square" gauge cluster it's made by autolite, and it turns out that many fewer case tractors came with that style. The more common version is the borg-warner with sweeping style gauges. I know roger has replacement gauges to fix both, but he has many more for the borg-warner type. Good luck!

The best place I know of for refurb of this type gauge cluster is Roger Hornbaker. He did an exchange for me on my Case 630 Autolite cluster. There are two types of rectangular from Case, Autolite and Stewart Warner. John Saeli has some SW NOS parts if the cluster is in reasonable shape but non functioning gauges, Roger can help if the cluster itself needs a refurb. My Autolite type cluster I got from Roger looks like a new one!!

Take a look at John's Web site he has lots of good stuff and he and his wife, Chris, are a joy to work with.
