Reo garden tractor?

I was helping a friend move something for his friend the other day and in the process of putting the said item away in their shed I got to looking into the shed next to it which was not much of a shed anymore, just a frame with a roof as the siding had rotted away. Anyhow in the front of the shed sat an old garden tractor that looked something like a very early sears suburban or bolens. Has a squarish looking hood and the decals read "REO". Now from what I have seen Reo only made walk behind mowers. I asked if they wanted to sell it as it obviously has not moved in a long time. They said they would have to ask their uncle. Any of you guys seen on like this before? I can't find any pictures of one like it. Mike.

You could be describing a model 725, built only in 1963. REO made all sorts of cool stuff in the lawn care industry.
Letting you know this post is from almost 17 years ago. The date isn't very obvious, here's where to look for it.

RedMF40, I am with you all the way!
This post was made before I had posted my reply that I placed in another revived thread that will hopefully deter such willy nilly happenings. I will repeat the helpful tips here for all in hopes we can steer clear of revival of ancient posts that are mistaken to be current.
This is a process I would recommend for viewing threads here with this new software!
1.) Look at thread titles and click into those that are of interest to you.
2.) Find the latest post that has caused the thread to be “renewed” or brought to the top of the forum. If you use the “quote” feature it may not be at the bottom of the thread.
3.) READ THE DATE!! the post was made and look at other dates of replies in the post!
4.) If you feel so inclined, reply to thread considering the DATE and topic.
5.) Maintain awareness of the “Similar Threads” section under each “Subject or Thread” it is likely to contain posts that are NOT CURRENT!
….
I am not saying you can’t tack information on to an old post, more power to you. In this case if you read below we have no way of knowing who made this original post.
I really think this forum should do what Red Power does, lock posts after a certain time, my suggestion would be a year. I realize that would not have affected this post, but it would help on ones that are 5, 10 or 15 years old. I think for the most part new posters are better served by starting their own thread as opposed to “tacking” what they want to bring to the forum on the end of an old post.

I was curious why the poster Anonymous-0 has 396,000 some posts, so I posed the question on “Site Comments” Post on Site Comments
Give it a look if you care to learn some things about the early workings of YT!
