Restore scratch wheel aggression?

Is it possible to restore the original aggressive action of a rotary scratch wheel? It seems to really "do the job" when it's new, but with use it seems to get a glazed, worn, flat surface for rust removal.

On a cutoff wheel you can give the edge a rap with a piece of steel. Wear glasses.

No, I mean a rotary, wire scratch wheel. Just like me .. wife says I don't make myself clear to explain what I mean!

Run it against your bench grinder for a few seconds......

Take a needle nose pliers and straighten out the wires one at a time. It should be good for a couple of days of intense fun.

Simply remove the wheel, turn it over, and replace it.

You need a full face mask when using wire wheels.You can pick the wire out of your shirt or nose.Your eye wont be so easy.Very dangerous tool.
