Brought tractor from him and was down to last payment and more repair bills than I had paid for tractor just to make tractor functional after being lied to in intial purchase, when he snuck onto my property and hide tractor claiming I wasn't going to make last payment and that he had purchased tractor from some other bogus individual. He knows it would be a civil case and would cost attorney fees to fight his antic and border line actions. Beware of his quality and claims before purchasing. You won't get the whole story on his tractors!

If your talking about ron porter from north of lowell/ rockford area, I really doubt if your STORY is true! I have dealt with him several times and have not had any problems or complaints period. One of the best guys in old tractors in the state.

Admittedly, I miss spoke when I claimed I wasn't going to make the last tractor payment because I was and had just talked to the guy on the first of April, giving me to the end of April to make the final payment. He lured me into believing things were alright and then took the tractor when he was sure I wasn't home. Then used physical violence after he demanded a much higher final payment than agreed upon when I went to pay the last payment. Thank God I have witnesses to this whole fiasco and I don't care whether you believe this event or not, I only felt like the public sector and yesterdaystractor should know of this man's behavior. I have witnesses to his use of physical violence as he will try to intimidate you when his handicapped hooked arm.I have mechanical people that don't think to much of this man's word or ability to conduct business. Certainly hope he stays on the other side of Rockford from us. Even the Sherriff Department in my county know of this man's reputation, too bad for you, you don't!

Admittedly ,I miss spoke when I see the message I submitted. I had made arrangement to make the final payment per Ron Porter and it was at the end of April so I thought things were cool and it would give me more time to allow corn commodities to have a chance to rise before I paid up. I'm not whining, even though this man manipulated the civil laws to his greatest degree, his mistake was that I had witnesses when I made last payment of his physical violence when I went to pick up my tractor. I only relay this event to help warn the innocent public of his behavior. Please read my reply to other gentlemen who claims this man is a great old tractor person. He only purchases tractors he thinks he can get away with deception.

It's kinda odd I reposess a tractor that hadn't been paid for in three and a half years of lies and I'm the bad guy. A off duty police officer rode with me with paper work to prove I was legal, doubt he would've done that if I was wroug. Only time I ever financed a tractor and the last. Alway stayed out of these forums but have to add my two cents on this one. I've purchased 5 or 6 tractors from Ron Porter and have never been mislead or unfairly dealt with. Many of them were purchased on his description alone sight unseen. Matter of fact, he's even help me with hauling services in the past when we've been at Polk or King Auctions. Cant be too bad of a guy...how many other sellers would take payments on a tractor? He's not a bank, step up and pay for what you purchase.

Now lets get the story straight Todd. You know you were trying every thing you could to get out of paying Ron. Ron had called you so many times I could not begin to tell you guys, but Todd would see his name on the caller id and not answer the phone. How do i know this because I lived with Todd for almost four years. I know what kind of person Todd Peters is. Just so you all know he has stolen my JD 3300 combine 1950 JD B and a JD maneuer spreader. He tried to take my 1968 grain truck but the cops made him give it back to me. He tried to take my two year old grandsons 12 volt JD gator and a 6 volt JD tractor. He did get my grandson bank with all the money in it. Maybe he was going to use the money to pay for the tractor...I don't think so. He only thinks of him self. If you were thinking of doing any business rather it be tractors or building i would run like hell from him. He is the most dishonest person i have ever meet. If you don't believe me just ask the people of Allendale Mi. He even lied to the church we both went to. So i guess that tells what type of person he is.

I have known Ron Porter for a number of years, bought a handfull of tractors from, always bought them over the phone and a few photos over the internet, the tractors were as good as described or better, I have absolutely no complaints, would surely do business again, and would send others his way, I do not know Todd Peters, but sounds like he is the guy you should stay away from.

You absolutely provided $0 to the purchase or payments of this tractor and lied and cohersed Mr. Michigan John Deere into releasing funds into your greety slippery hands because you and your daughter were evicted suddenly and are a very vindictive sick individual that no counselor can fix. You both should be in jail for fraud and assault!

Have purchased many tractors from Ron over the years. Never had any issues or problems. Very reputable person to deal with. I would never be the least bit concerned about buying from Ron sight unseen.

Yep it sure looks like he is gone a hiding. The Ron Porter I know would never do that, don't try to say bad things about people, even when it is true. You can wreck people's careers. You know I think that that is what he was doing...

Brad: Don't know you but you weren't there and I have my witnesses at the time and he had his temper AND his "reputation". I know what went down for me and if noone cares to heed any attention to my warnings, I'm good with that and could really care less anymore. Its just amazing the garbage that goes on on this website by someone trying to help others and other jealous and visious individuals who have absolutely have everything to gain and nothing to lose put in there twelve cents worth to stir up additional troubles.
