Rtu front axle

I’m about to reassemble the bolster on my RTU. When I took the front axle off it seemed to me that the axle was on backwards. All the photos I see don’t show the square bump on the front of the axle. I’m guessing it was put on backwards. Does anyone have an RTU handy to look and see which way it goes on? this is my first time posting with the new format. I thought I would try posting a couple photos to see how it goes.

The square flat boss with the 2 holes is for installing a mud scraper behind the tires.

There are no holes drilled in the boss. But I suppose they didn’t need to drill them all out. I will install it facing the rear. Thank you for the info.
