Sand blast cabinet media

Anybody have a way to remove dust from blast media. I screen the rust flakes out of grit but what about the fines from the grit? Thanks

Some large commercial blast cabinets like Vacu Blast and others had dust separators on them instead of just vaccuums and that helps make the blast media last longer. It's just a cyclone dust separator like on feed grinders or for seed or feed dust separation. Cost me some $$$ to get the separator rebuilt at a mill wright shop for my large blast cabinet so not sure it saved me anything yet. What are you blasting? Try different medias and different sources. I use glass beads or aluminum oxide for most things not sand.

Well, I just looked at Harbor Freights online catalog and found Item #94275-OVGA. I am ordering one and I bet you will be soon too!

TP Tools have media reclaimers for blast cabinets for around 100.00 Here is their phone # you can call for a catalog 1-800-321-9260.
