I have a 1952 sc with dual hydrolics, left hand hand
clutch, narrow front and eagle hitch. What is the diference
between the sc and the dc tractors? They look so much
alike. PS,make the snow go away,Don.

THERE IS a world of a difference in cubic inches alone ,,kinda like the difference between a man and a boy,,. in work performed , appetite , and a agility,,,and scarcely any parts will interchange

The DC has about 100 more cubic inches, a cast iron front grill, and hand clutch that works in the opposite direction.

The only hand clutch DC that worked backwards were the really early ones with the clutch on the right side.

1939 and part of 1940 were the only ones that had the right hand clutch like the C series. On those you pulled the hand clutch to engage it. From SN 4405303 on the clutch was on the left side, and you pushed it to engage it.

(quoted from post at 11:26:40 03/21/14) I thought you had to pull a DC hand clutch (right side)to engage it?
have a 39, right side clutch, and a 51 left side clutch. It can make things interesting sometimes.

My DC is a hard worker...an old guy in the neighborhood explained to me that the SC didn't have enough power to pull the hat off your head...
