sc popping thru carb

greetings all,
my sc was down for a tire replacement and now seems to spit back thru carb about every 2 seconds while running. it was down about 4 months. 12v system, distrib type elect system, carbs fresh, new plugs, wires check out ok. it is not a backfire, just wet fuel exiting the carb in spitback. it had no known issues before tire problem .
have i developed the dreaded manifold sharing?
it actually seems to run ok and had power uphill, just the constant spit.

Possible causes.
You may have a intake valve hanging open.
Crack in the cap.
Corrosion in the cap.

Check all those things and check for a broken or extremely weak valve spring. Reset your valve clearance while you are under there just to cover all the bases. mEl

if it were mine before spending for parts , could be ,, IT JUST NEEDS RUN ,, SWAP OUT THE GAS ,, add some seafoam to the new gas ,,, and work that sissy a couple hours and seeif it straihtens up

Hope the manifold is not sharing gasses ,,. i had one repaired
