Had a tractor for sale and a scammer (unknown to me) tried to show interest and agreed to buy it.
The same old scam was next - sent me 4 money orders that were counterfeit/fake for over $1,000 more than the agreed price but I remembered reading about just such a scam on here and didn't proceed any further than to take them to an authority to verify that they were indeed fake. Thank God I didn't proceed with cashing them.
Thanks to you all for keeping the rest of us informed, I still got my money AND my tractor.
Thank you!!!!

There is one way to stop scammers just put on add Cash only when you pick item up . Or just tell them you will only accept cash . That will get rid of them in a hurry .

Only bright spot with these deals is that you were never in danger of losing your tractor- they just want the excess cash back, with you holding the bag when the check bounces. Don't worry about the "shipper" coming to get your tractor- there isn't a "shipper", just an unindicted co-conspirator, and they wouldn't know what to do with a tractor if they got one.
